作为专业基础课;让学生学习并掌握经济规律,市场达到均衡的条件及市场失灵;国民经济运行规律,政府运用财政和货币政策调节经济的效果,提高运用经济理论分析和解决问题的能力,为经济学专业学习奠定坚实基础。

微观经济学部分探讨个体经济行为,研究市场机制运行规律及其在经济资源配置中的作用,以价格为核心,被称为价格理论。包括均衡价格理论、消费者行为理论、生产者行为理论、市场结构理论、微观经济政策。重点是消费者均衡和生产者均衡部分,难点是运用理论对经济现象展开分析。

宏观经济学部分探讨总体经济行为,以国民收入增长与分配为核心,称为国民收入理论或收入理论。包括国民收入核算、国民收入决定理论、失业和通货膨胀理论、宏观经济政策。重点是国民收入决定理论和经济政策,难点是国民收入理论和通货膨胀理论。

讲授为主,结合举例、讨论、作业练习。要求学生积极参与课堂学习,并完成课下作业。

引导学生熟悉国家战略和经济政策,体会经济发展的意义,坚定马克思主义信仰,秉承人文之光和社会责任感,经世济民,服务社会。

Introduction:

As a specialized basic course, through the study, the students can master the economic law, the conditions for the market to reach equilibrium and the market failure, the operation law of the national economy, the effect of the government to adjust the economy through the use of fiscal and monetary policies, to improve the ability of using economic theory to analyze and solve problems, and to lay a solid foundation for the study of Economics.

The microeconomics part discusses the economic behavior of individuals, studies the operation of market mechanisms and their role in the allocation of economic resources. Including equilibrium price theory, consumer behavior theory, producer behavior theory, market structure theory, microeconomics policy. The focus is on the understanding of consumer equilibrium and producer equilibrium, and the difficulty is to use theory to analyze economic phenomena.

The part of macroeconomics discusses the overall economic behavior, which is called the national income theory or the income theory, with the growth and distribution of national income as the core. Including National Income Accounting, national income determination theory, unemployment and inflation theory, macroeconomic policy. The emphasis is on the theory of national income and economic policy. The difficulty is the theory of national income and the theory of inflation.

Give lectures, with examples, discussion, homework exercises. Students are required to actively participate in class and complete homework.

Guide the students to be familiar with the national strategy and economic policy, realize the significance of economic development, firmly believe in Marxism, uphold the light of humanity and social responsibility, economic and social services.

Introduction:

Probability and Mathematical Statistics is an important basic compulsory course for economics and management professional in our university. Probability Theory studies the statistical regularity of random phenomena. While Mathematical Statistics based on Probability Theory studies how to compile and analyze data of random influence effectively and makes statistical inference.

Students completing the course will be able to:

(1)Use basic counting techniques (multiplication rule, combinations, etcs) to compute probability.

(2)Compute conditional probabilities directly and using Bayes' theorem, and check for independence of events.

(3)Set up and work with discrete random variables. In particular, understand the Bernoulli, binomial, geometric and Poisson distributions.

(4)Work with continuous random variables. In particular, know the properties of uniform, normal and exponential distributions.

(5)Know what expectation and variance mean and be able to compute them. (6)Compute the covariance and correlation between jointly distributed variables.

(7)Understand the law of large numbers and the central limit theorem. (8)Understand basic principles of statistical inference.

Introduction:

Econometrics is based upon the development of statistical methods for estimating economic relationships, testing economic theories, and evaluating and implementing government and business policy. Econometrics is a compulsory course for undergraduate economics majors. The main purpose of this course is to introduce students to the theory and practice of econometrics and help students understand the assumptions in light of actual empirical applications. College algebra and probability and statistics are required for this course.

The topics of this course include estimation, hypothesis testing and model evaluation in the linear regression model, observational and experimental methods to identify causal effects including instrumental variable, models with dummy independent variable, model with lagged variable, simultaneous equations econometric model, and simple time series econometric model. Lectures are supplemented by computer exercises that use EViews. Small projects and simple empirical research are required.

Introduction:

Course orientation: Chinese Economic History is a basic subject of theoretical economics and a required course for economics majors. Objective: Combining the economic research framework with the historical development background of China, to help students better understand the history, contemporary and basic economic views, and to train students to interpret the changes of social system and the internal mechanism of economic growth with the background of economics.

Main contents: This course tells the process of China's economic development and evolution from the perspective of economics, history and sociology. The content involves Chinese ancient economic history, Chinese modern economic history, Chinese modern economic history, three parts present forward relations. The part of ancient history lays emphasis on the background of modern history. The modern history part focuses on the origin of China's modern system and economic growth. Part of modern history focuses on the background and institutional changes of the transition from planned economy to market economy.

Arrangement of key and difficult points: Understand the general situation of ancient China's economy and science and technology, and the status and changes of ancient China in the world economy; Familiar with the reason of modern China's economic stagnation and the gap with the world; Focus on grasping the process of modern Chinese economy transforming to market economy and specific system arrangement.

本课程在《经济学原理》基础上,将经济作为整体,介绍宏观经济测度、建模和政策分析。本课程首先介绍重要的宏观经济数据(产出、通胀和就业);接着引入古典宏观经济模型,用以研究宏观经济的长期均衡和政策含义;接着引入 IS-LM 等凯恩斯经济学模型,用以研究短期宏观经济波动和政策含义;在古典和凯恩斯模型的介绍过程中,均从封闭经济入手,并拓展到开放经济,用以研究汇率和外贸;最后引入新古典经济增长模型,用以研究经济的长期增长动态和政策含义。

Introduction:

Intermediate Macroeconomics treats the economy as a whole and studies the measurement, modeling and policy analysis of the economy. We first introduce some important macroeconomic variables (e.g., output, inflation, employment, etc.); then we introduce classical models to study the long-run equilibrium of economy and its policy implications; then we introduce the Keynesian models such as IS-LM to study short-run macroeconomic fluctuations and policy implications; during the discussions of the classical and the Keynesian models, we first treat the closed-economy case and then extend to the open-economy case; finally we introduce neoclassical growth models to study long-run growth dynamics and policy implications.

In this course, students are expected to understand macroeconomic concepts accurately, construct appropriate models for particular macroeconomic problems, apply appropriate models to the analysis of policies, learn important macroeconomic events in history and the history of macroeconomic thoughts, and prepares for their own critical thinking on macroeconomics and macroeconomic policies.

Introduction:

Statistics is an important basic compulsory course for School of economics, School of business and Faculty of Applied Economics in our university. Basic statistical concepts and methods are presented in a manner that emphasizes understanding the principles of data collection and analysis rather than theory. Much of the course will be devoted to discussions of how statistics is commonly used in the real world.

There are two major parts to this course:

I Data-which includes graphical and numerical summaries to describe the

distribution of a variable, or the relationship between two variables and data

production to learn how to design good surveys and experiments, collect data from samples that are representative of the whole population, and avoid common sources of biases.

II Probability and Inference-using the language of probability and the properties of numerical summaries computed from a random samples, we learn to draw conclusions about the population of interest, based on our random sample, and attach a measure of reliability to them. The primary goal of the course is to help students understand how the process of posing a question, collecting data relevant to that question, analyzing data, and interpreting data can help them find answers to real problems from their world.

本课程将以马克思主义为指导,结合中国经济发展实践和经验,较为系统和深入地讲解选择理论视角下的微观经济学,包括其与一般微观经济学的区别、选择理论视角下微观经济学的主要研究方法、研究领域以及代表性学者等。本课程将有助于学生从更加公理化、科学化、数学化的角度学习和理解微观经济学,提高应用微观经济学理论解决现实问题的能力。具体而言,本课程的内容包括消费者选择理论、生产者选择理论、局部均衡和福利分析、不完全竞争与福利损失、外部性与公共物品理论、逆向选择、信息不对称与委托代理问题、社会选择理论等。在具体内容的讲授中,本课程也将结合中国经济发展过程中的具体案例和政策来阐述西方微观经济学可以如何被运用,既有助于学生更好将理论与实际相结合,也有助于学生理解西方微观经济学可取之处、局限性以及在中国情景下的适用性。

Founded by a group of British and American economists in the late 1940sthe school of public choice was dedicated to studying public decision-making and social choice with methods of economics. Its representative figures Kenneth Arrow, James Buchanan and Amartya Sen have won the Nobel Prize in economics. Introduction:

Course significance: Health economics is a branch of economics dedicated to the study and resolution of health issues of national and societal concern in a practical problem-oriented manner. The discipline uses basic principles of economics and econometric methods to study a range of issues related to health care, such as: diseases, treatment of diseases, health behaviours, health care systems, health insurance, drug pricing, etc. Through the study of this course, students will be able to apply the basic theories and methods of health economics to analyse the major issues in the field of healthcare in China, so as to better understand and grasp the national healthcare policy. Course Objectives: This course adheres to Marxism and Xi Jinping's Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as its guide, and helps students to apply the knowledge and methods of health economics through the lens of health economics to gain a systematic understanding of China's healthcare policies, as well as to understand how to view and attempt to solve China's healthcare problems under the theoretical system of socialist market economy with Chinese characteristics.

Main teaching content: The course covers the basic content of health economics, such as the issues of equity and efficiency of medical services, reform of the medical and health care system, the utility of medical expenditure, medical insurance and protection, and the development of the health industry. Sixteen sessions of two hours each are proposed.

Corporate Finance is an elective for economics major within the financial accounting domain. Introduction:

This course is intended to foster students’ ability in solving complicated problems and innovative skills. This course intends to teach econometric methods applied to cross-sectional and panel data, help students understand the basic ideas, advantages and disadvantages of various microeconometric methods and the presupposition of applications. Topics such as limited dependent variables, endogeneity, selectivity bias, and static and dynamic panel data models are scheduled to be discussed in this course. This course, though application-oriented, will discuss the derivations of econometric models and help students to be familiar with Stata operations of microeconometric methods, so as to equip students with the basic ability to analyze micro data, explore causal relationships, and carry out rigorous academic research. Main teaching methods: 1. The important theoretical part of the course is mainly taught by teachers; 2. Course Name The Topic on China's Economic Reform and Development

Introduction:

The core content of "the Topic on Chinese Economics" is the China's economic miracle since 1949. The course will show the performance of China's economic growth miracle, the current problems and the potential for further development. It will discuss the history of China catching up with developed countries and the regularity connotation of the success of China's economic system reform. In addition, it will give systematic lectures on China's basic economic system, excavate the internal relationship between the market economic system, ownership structure and income distribution system and the orientation of further reform. It adheres to the guidance of Marxism, especially the use of historical materialism and dialectical materialism, through historical analysis, cross-border comparison and interdisciplinary systematic teaching. Based on all of the topics, it will describe the advantages of the system on the road of Chinese-style and the correctness of the Communist Party of China.

Through teaching, discussion and paper writing, the course cultivates students' dialectical materialism and historical materialism thinking in observing China's economic and social development and changes, reflects on the economic development mindset of developed economies in the United States and Europe, and strengthens students' confidence in the Chinese path, Chinese theory, Chinese system and Chinese culture. 课程的基本内容包括行列式、矩阵、n 元向量、线性方程组、矩阵的特征值与特征向量及二次型等.主要是用矩阵和行列式作工具,处理向量、方程组及二次型等问题.教学目的是让学生掌握矩阵运算,能将向量、方程组及二次型等问题转化为矩阵及行列式问题,用矩阵运算加以解决;为进一步学习其他学科、进行科学研究以及在实际工作中应用打下基础;培养学生的抽象思维能力、逻辑推理能力、分析问题与解决问题的能力;使学生能够体验数学的探索和发现,提高数学素养.

对学生学习而言,线性相关性的问题是个难点,尤其是利用线性关系去证明一些结论,是本门课程学生学习的最大难点.课程的重点是矩阵的运算、方程组解的结构、向量之间的线性关系、特征值特征向量以及综合运用——二次型.

Introduction:

Linear algebra is a fundamental part of modern mathematics which is concerned with the study of systems of linear equations, matrices, vectors, vector spaces and linear transformations. In addition to its own charm in mathematics, the applications of linear algebra have appeared in many fields of the natural sciences, social sciences, computer sciences, statistics and economics, and are spreading more rapidly than any other time in the past due to the advancement of the computer technology. The organization of this course is motivated by the needs of understanding and abilities of using the basic knowledge of linear algebra. At first determinants are introduced, followed by matrix algebra, linear equations, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, orthogonality and quadratic forms etc.

本课程定位于高年级本科生。课程的目标:通过本门课程的学习,使学生掌握计量经济学的基本理论和方法,能够使用 Stata 对经济问题进行分析,提高计量经济学的理论基础与实际应用能力。同时为研究生阶段的高级计量经济学学习打下扎实的基础。本课程的主要教学内容主要包括 Stata 应用、一元线性回归模型、多元回归模型的估计、多元回归模型的推断、多元回归模型的大样本性质、多元回归模型:深入专题、虚拟变量、异方差性、自相关性、面板数据模型、工具变量估计。重点在于全面系统的理解计量经济学框架,难点在于数学知识在计量经济学的运用。

Introduction:

This course is aimed at senior undergraduate students. Objective of the course: Through the study of this course, students will master the basic theories and methods of econometrics, and be able to use Stata to analyze economic problems, so as to improve the theoretical basis and practical application ability of econometrics. At the same time, it lays a solid foundation for the advanced econometrics study in the graduate stage. The main teaching content of this course mainly includes Stata application, unary linear regression model, multiple regression model estimation, multiple regression model inference, large sample nature of multiple regression model, multiple regression model: in-depth topic, dummy variable, heteroscedasticity, autocorrelation, panel data model, instrumental variable estimation. The key lies in the comprehensive and systematic understanding of econometrics framework, while the difficulty lies in the application of mathematical knowledge in econometrics.

This course adheres to the guidance of Marxism in the course teaching, and speeds up the construction of the discipline system, academic system and discourse system of philosophy and social sciences with Chinese characteristics.
